Joanna Biernacka (PL)

A theatre critic by profession, Graduate of Theatre Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. In her professional life she cooperated with “Dziennik Polski”, a Cracow daily newspaper, and she was a part of the editorial staff of “Didaskalia” theatre magazine. Until June 2011 she worked as a dramaturge at the Wrocławski Teatr Współczesny, as an associate in the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication of the University of Wrocław, and as one of the programmers of the International Theatre Festival DIALOG-WROCŁAW. Presently, she is a coordinator of the National Theatres’ Meeting festival at the National Theatre in Warsaw.She has carried research over drama and theatre of Federico Garcia Lorca for several years, and hopes to publish the results of her study in the future.
