Zsófia Balassa
teatrologist, organiser of the conference
Born in 1987, she graduated from the University of Pécs, receiving a BA and MA degree in Hungarian Language and Literature and Theatrology. At present she is a first year PhD student at the University of Pécs, receiver of a scholarship. She published reviews and papers in several Hungarian printed and online magazines. Her field of research is situated on the boundary of the epic and the dramatic: in her doctoral thesis, focusing on the theatrological aspects present in novels, she plans to shed light on the relationship between transgeneric narratology and one-person plays. She has been actively involved in the organization of several events, as a member of the executive board of the Kerényi Károly Szakkollégium in Pécs, she organized many academic meetings. Beyond being a fellow organizer of the present conference, she is also in charge of the financial management of the 10th Contemporary Drama Festival Budapest.
